Fuu: “He’s not like that!”

Mugen: “What’s he like, then?!”

Fuu: “W-Well, he’s…”

Mugen: “See what I mean? You don’t know anything about him, either.”

Jin: “Don’t tell me that you don’t even know what he looks like…”

Mugen: “How come you’re so desperate to find this guy when you don’t even know for sure if he’s alive or dead?”

Fuu: “He’s alive! Until I find him and beat him up, he’s gonna stay alive no matter what.”

Jin: “This is about revenge?”

Fuu: “What’s it matter to you?”

Mugen: “I bet this guy raped you and threw you away like garbage,
and now you’re out for revenge, right?”

ムゲン：「大体よぉ、向日葵の匂いのする侍？何だよそりゃ！そんな女々しい奴捜し出してどうしようってんだよ」

フウ：「あーーーっ！そんなんじゃない！」

ムゲン：「じゃぁどんなんだよ！」

フウ：「そ、それは・・・」

ムゲン：「ほら見ろ、よく分かってねぇんだろうがよ」

ジン：「まさか、本当に顔も知らんのか」

ムゲン：「実際生きてんのか死んでんのかも分かんねえ奴を、何で必死で捜さなきゃなんねえんだよ」

フウ：「生きてるわよ！私あたしがぶん殴るまで、絶対生きてる」

ジン：「恨みか」

フウ：「どうだっていいでしょ？」

ムゲン：「せいぜい、手籠めにされた男にでも捨てられて、その復讐ってとこだろ？」

Fuu: “Ever since I was little, my mother and I lived by ourselves. I had always thought that my father had died a long time earlier. But as my mother lay sick and dying, she told me the truth. She said that she was certain that my father was still alive somewhere. He had left my mother and me a long time ago and gone somewhere.”

Fuu: “Mother didn’t sound all that mad at him, but I couldn’t forgive him. So I was gonna find him no matter what and slug him one for my mother. That’s what I decided to do.”

フウ：「わたし、ずっとちっちゃいときから母さんと二人で生きてきたんだ。父さんはずっと前に死んだと思ってた。でも母さんが病気で死ぬ前に言ったんだ。わたしの父親はきっとどこかで生きてる”って。ずっと前に、母さんとあたしを残してどっか行っちゃった”って。」

フウ：「母さんはその人のこと悪く言わなかったけど、わたしは許せなかった。だから、絶対見つけ出して母さんの代わりにぶん殴ってやるって、そう決めたんだ。」

Fuu: “Ever since I was a little girl, my mother and I lived by ourselves. I had always been told that my father had died long ago. But that wasn’t true.
He was alive, and he had abandoned Mother and me. That’s what Mother told me when she lay dying.”

Fuu: “Even now, when people ask me about my father, I say that I don’t have one. I don’t consider myself his daughter.
Even if I met him, I wouldn’t want to hear any excuses from him. I’ll never be able to forgive him for what he did. I’m sure that he doesn’t know about how we suffered or how Mother got sick and died.”

Fuu: “That’s why I swore that when I met him, I would make sure that he understood. That when I met him, I would belt him one, no matter what. That’s what I had planned, but now…”

フウ：「わたしは小さいときからずっと母親と二人で暮してきました。父親はずっと前に死んだって、そう教えられました。でも違ったんです。その人は生きてて、わたしと母さんを置いて出て行ったんです。母さんが死ぬとき、そう教えてくれました。」

フウ：「わたしは今でも父親のこと聞かれたら、いないって答えます。私はもうその人の娘なんかじゃない。会ったからって、言い訳なんて聞きたくない。あたしはその人のこと許せない。」

フウ：「その人はわたしたちがどんなに苦労して生きてきたかも、母さんが病気で死んだことも、きっと知らない。」

フウ：「だから、会ってそのことを分からせてやろうって、会ったら絶対ぶん殴ってやろうって、そう思ったのに。」
